Caregiver´s safety
To ensure caregiver’s safety when turning your family member do it in a single firm movement and shift your body weight from front to back foot.
With feet shoulder-width apart you should lean forward flexing your knees, supporting body weight in the front foot to keep balance.
In case you have an articulated bed, you should elevate it at your hips height. This will reduce discomfort and prevent potential injuries.
