Check the correct placement of the tube in the stomach

1. Wash hands.
2. Check if the tube is not in the mouth
3. Close the nasogastric tube by folding it at the base.
4. Remove cap.
5. Inject approximately 20 ml of air through the tube and at the same time place your hands over the stomach to feel the breathing.
6. The inserted air must be aspirated at the end of this procedure.
